"LANDSLIDE RESEARCH AND RISK REDUCTION FOR ADVANCING CULTURE OF LIVING WITH NATURAL HAZARDS"
Scientists, engineers, and researchers/policy makers working in the area of landslide technology, landslide disaster investigation and landslide remediation are encouraged to share their work with the global community by submitting papers and presenting their work at the WLF4. The reviewed contributions to the forum will be published as the forum proceedings by Springer Nature publishing house in a set of five volumes, covering the forum 5 themes organised in sessions.
Please consider to submit your contribution to the Session 5.2 Landslides in natural environments which is co-organized by Dr. Jan Klimeš, IRSM CAS. This session would like to focus on environments where landslide occurrence may become significant hazard for human activities in near future. This may result from ongoing environmental change (e.g. climate and land-use change) and expanding human activities intoso far undeveloped and less suitable areas. High mountain regions above freezing line, Polar Regions and natural slopes with unfavourable stability conditions are among these environments.
The abstract submission deadline is on March 31, 2016!
