  • neutron and photon activation analyses and their application in geological and geochemical, biologic, and environmental research
  • multielement analysis and speciation of trace elements in coal, peat and fly ash
  • geochemical analysis of tektites (e.g., moldavites) and impact glasses, sedimentary and volcanic rocks, etc.
  • utilization of coal and its products in sorption of toxic metals and radionuclides, preparation and investigation of sorbents based on low rank coal, humic substances, and chitosan
