Description:

The goal of this project was to understand the behaviour and mobilization of REE and actinides under hydrothermal and magmatic conditions. A combination of field studies, hydrothermal experiments and geochemical analyses on natural REE-bearing minerals (allanite) and their host rocks from the Třebíč pluton of the Moldanubian Zone was performed. Hydrothermal experiments suggest that felsic durbachites of the Třebíč pluton were generated by simple fractionation of a more mafic parent and mixing with mantle-derived components at mid crustal pressures. During detailed study of granitic rocks of this pluton the garnet-bearing granites were detailed characterised.
