Description:

The aim of the agreement was intelligent information technology applications for earthquake hazard and seismic risk assessments and. Main investigations were directed to the following problems: (1) a compilation of geo-scientific data base for regional and local areas to test and to verify algorithms of intelligent information technology, (2) an application of probabilistic and deterministic methods for the time-space modelling of an earthquake activity, (3) an elaboration of knowledge base for earthquake hazard calculations, seismic risk assessments and earthquake scenarios strategies, (4) an implementation of the GEO Information System as a tool for multidimensional data processing using logical algorithms of recent prognostic methodologies, including learning and decision making modules, and (5) a development of the problem-oriented integral system for earthquake hazard and seismic risk assessments.
