Description:

The project aims at designing and developing composite material with optimum size pores and suitable mechanical properties for potential bone tissue engineering. The composite will consist of polyamide fabrics embedded in siloxane matrix with hydroxyapatite micro- or nanocrystals uniformously dispersed in the matrix. In vitro and in vivo tests with histological documention will be carried out on prepared composites and implants. Application of the composite to be developed on selected bone replacements.
