Description:

Project scope is directed to find mobility relations between the Bohemian Massif and adjacent central European structural units. It is evident that extent of data observed on individual sites of this region frames a database that allows individual relations to be assessed within a sufficient reliability. Therefore, the project has to cover activities that ensure flawless technical operations joined with collecting GPS data monitored by five Institute permanent GPS observatories BISK, MARJ, POUS, SNEC and VACO in a real time, and a continuation of annual GPS epoch measurements provided already for eight years (1997-2004) on the EAST SUDETEN and WEST SUDETEN regional geodynamic networks and the Polish GEOSUD network. The permanent observatories monitor both the American NAVSTAR positioning system and the Russian GLONASS system and are directly linked to the European EUREF permanent network, to both their Regional Data Centres in Frankfurt am/Mains and in Graz that calculate their daily positions together with other similar stations located in neighbouring countries. This fact allows the preliminary frame of geodynamic motions among investigated fundamental geological units to be obtained. Additional data of the network GPS epoch measurements together with geological materials and geophysical fields enable to specify the movement vectors and to determine reliable geodynamic relations.
