Description:

The project focuses on analysing active faults and obtaining a coherent picture of Quaternary deformation in the Alpine-Carpathian foreland and the Bohemian Massif. Cooperation between geoscience groups working on different fault systems should provide opportunities for (a) exchanging technical and methodological expertise (b) mutual logistic support for geomorphologial mapping and paleoseismological trenching (c) combining the results into a regional geodynamic model of active deformation in the Alpine-Carpathian foreland.
