Research interests

I started working at the geochemistry department of the Institute of Rock Structure and Mechanics, a.s., AVČR in 2014, shortly after completing my doctoral studies at the Institute for the Environment, Faculty of Science, Charles University.

My professional focus is on organochemical analysis and the development and evaluation of gas and liquid chromatography methodologies.

Most of my current research concerns chemotaxonomy in modern conifers under various environmental and anthropogenic stimuli.

Other fields of my activity are, for example:
- research into the effects of soil biota on the decomposition and deposition of organic matter in the soil,
- sorption studies on heavy metals with subsequent development and production of biochars with high quality parameters,
- characterization of geopolymers,
development and validation of methods for proof of adulteration of paraffin wax,
testing of tars and thermally treated sewage sludge for the presence of PAHs

Publications

Currently, I am author or co-author of more than 18 scientific papers in IF journals; 230 citations; H-index 8
