Scientific interests
• Characterization and reuse of the organic waste materials in the circular economy.
• Preparation and conducting of laboratory pyrolysis experiments with a focus on studying of the influence of process conditions on the conversion of organic origin wastes and evaluation of the material and energy balance of the process.
• The investigation of the effect of process conditions and process type (continuous/batch) on the conversion of organic materials with a focus on conversion efficiency, yield and characterization of the resulting products.
• Study of the chemical composition and physical properties of carbonaceous products and oils obtained by thermal conversion under specific conditions.
• Research, preparation, and characterization of activated carbon (activated biochar) obtained from different organic waste materials (biomass), with consequent investigation of its effectiveness in removing environmental pollutants.
• Analysis of gas mixtures by gas chromatography with flame ionization (FID) and thermal conductivity (TCD) detection of various organic wastes under specific conditions obtained by thermal conversion.
• Thermogravimetric analysis of inorganic/organic materials and their evaluation.
• Reviewer of international impact journals
