The laboratory is focused on the processing of natural and synthetic polymers, especially collagen, its isolation from various types of tissues, processing into micro and nanostructured forms and complex characterization at all levels of its structure. The activities of the laboratory have long been focused on the evaluation of collagen processing processes and the influence of these processes on its final properties. A wide range of analytical methods are used for characterization. A special focus of the laboratory is the electrostatic softening of natural polymers.
