Physical and chemical properties of evolved rhyolitic melts: application to topaz-bearing granites

Physical and chemical properties of evolved rhyolitic melts: application to topaz-bearing granites

The objective of the project is the study of the stability of topaz, fluorite and cassiterite at magmatic conditions and to determine the viscosity of such volatile-rich melts. The experimental study will be carried out using a complementary approach based on petrological, structural and geochemical studies of topaz-bearing granites of the Krudum granite body (Saxothuringian Zone of the Bohemian Massif).
