Description:

The core of the project is a detailed analysis of slope deformation and the conditions of their formation in flysch Carpathians in Hostýnsko-Vsetin highlands that has been exposed to extreme precipitation totals in 1997, 2002, 2006 and most recently the 2010th Model were selected for ground currents on the hill and valley Lemešné Kani (Great Karlovice) incurred in May 2010 due to high rainfall. The detailed analysis of landslides (1st year of the project), will be used the following methods: geomorphological mapping, orthophoto interpretation of images, the stereoscopic analysis, morphometric, morphotectonic analysis dendrogeomorfologický research, geophysical measurements (collaboration with IRSM), soil analysis, installation and precipitation stations infiltrometer. An important part of the analysis of data from precipitation stations CHMI and Literature (1st year) and newly installed stations and CHMI (2nd, 3rd year). Data from these will be evaluated and compared to each other. The results, together with the findings of other studies and literature used to evaluate the relationship between rainfall and landslide activity. Primarily to estimate the thresholds that initiate mass movements reverse-engineering conditions, evaluation of data from the "relatively" nearby rain gauge stations and the "real chance" assessment definition moving average total precipitation, contributing to the understanding of the mechanism of transition in natural stream flow and the prediction of further landslides in the locality. The project will bring a number of findings that have not been studied and thus contribute to a better understanding of the issue.
