The project is engaged in measurement methodology of elastic properties and investigation of influence of technological processes on elastic behaviour of composite materials. The carbon-carbon composites and composites with ceramic fibres and with matrix of pyrolysed organosilicon polymers are the object of the investigation. In the case of carbon-carbon composites carbon fibres Toray T800 and M46 are considered while carbonised phenolformaldehyde resin is considered as a matrix. The investigation will aim at composites with different kinds of textile reinforcement. In the case of composites with ceramic fibres and with matrix of pyrolysed organosilicon polymers the alumina fibres Nextel 720 and siliconcarbide fibres Nicalon are considered. This material has been investigated for relatively short time and therefore only unidirectional reinforcement will be used. The experiments will aim at description of influence of reinforcement orientation, impregnation, graphitisation, temperature of pyrolysis and type of matrix precursor on elastic constants. In order to obtain these quantities the static and dynamic methods are used. From the category of dynamic measurements the method of resonant frequencies will be used.
